I refuse to use ingredients that, while they are considered safe by industry standards, have been shown to cause harm. Many ingredient that are used in hundreds, if not thousands of products in the beauty and skincare industry are considered safe in low levels by the FDA. However, in my opinion, no levels are acceptable, especially in a product that you are going to be putting on your skin EVERY day. So we select our ingredients and materials very carefully.
